Congratulations to Tipperary Minor footballers who defeated Clare 2-10 to 1-8 in Rd. 3 of the Munster Championship played in picturesque Quilty last night. Tommy Burke was solid at corner-back while Dayle Hogan made a massive contribution at midfield and chipped in with 1-2 from play. With both teams already qualified for the Daryl Darcy Cup final it was a chance for some of the fringe players to stake a claim for the next day and Tommy and Dayle have given the selectors, including our own James Farrelly, plenty of food for thought. Captain Tom Corcoran was rested ahead of the final which takes place on April 30th at 7pm with the venue to be confirmed. On the same night in Tralee, Kerry take on Cork with the winners facing the losers of the Tipp/Clare game and vice versa. Both of these semi-finals take place on May 7th with the Munster Final on May 13th. Best of luck boys.
