Round 2 of the Mid Junior A hurling Championship ended in a draw in Drombane this evening. In a match that never really got going both sides could point to an opportunity missed but in the end a draw was probably a fair result. The 'Church started much the brighter and dominated the opening 25 minutes to lead 2-7 to 0-5 approaching half-time. But two great Radek deliveries from half-back resulted in a major apiece from Dean McEnroe and Martin Bergin to give us a real shot in the arm before the break. They tea was weak today however as the second half became very scrappy with both side missing a number of oppurtunites. A Dean McEnroe free from 60 metres appeared to sail all the way to the net with five minutes to go to put us two up but couple of late frees saw parity restored and the spoils shared. Final Score: JK Brackens 3-12 Upperchurch/Drombane 2-15. Our last group game takes place in the Park next Saturday evening at 7.30pm versus Boherlahan.
