Well done to our U-16 hurlers who had a fine 1-18 to 1-7 win over Loughmore in the Park last night. Brackens were in control of the game from the moment Aaron Holland hit the net for the opening score with Joe Bourke and Brian Quinn in fine point scoring form too. We now sit in 4th place on 2 points after three games and face Holycross in our final group game. With five teams in the competition 4th play 5th after the round-robin in a quarter-final with the winners facing the top seeds - Durlas Og - in a semi-final. The two teams who finish 2nd and 3rd contest the other semi-final. In the event of Brackens beating Holycross both teams along with Upperchurch will finish on 4 points. There will then be an open draw for final positions.
