Following recent games the picture for the last eight in the County Senior Football Championship is becoming clearer. Group four has been completed where Moyle Rovers were the winners with Upperchurch taking second place and Killenaule going into relegation. Brackens have topped group 2 with Ballyporeen and Ardfinnan doing battle on Saturday for the runner-up spot. Kildangan are in relegation here. There is one outstanding game in Group 3 with Cahir taking on Kilsheelan/Kilcash on Saturday. Kilsheelan must win while a draw will do Cahir. Should Cahir win they will join Loughmore on 5 points but the red and green are currently 23 points ahead on the score difference and odds on to top the group. Aherlow drop into the relegation battle. And finally Group 1 will be completed on Sat when Clonmel Commercials take on Galtee Rovers. Clonmel have already won the group with Arravale in second. Galtee must win by 9 points to dislodge Arravale. Anything less and they're in relegation. Should they achieve they're target they will qualify, Arravale will slip to third and Moyne/Templetuohy would end up in relegation. Tall order. As it stands our most likely quarter-final opponents will be one from Upperchurch, Cahir, Kilsheelan or Arravale Rovers.
