Well done to our Junior B hurlers who recorded their second victory in six days when they defeated Moyne/Templetouhy by 5-17 to 1-11 in the Park last night. The game was effectively over after twenty minutes as Brackens raced into a fourteen point lead thanks to a brace of goals from Joe Bergin and another from Eddie Bergin. Points from Brian Roche (3), Eoin Fitzpatrick (2) and one each from Paul Hanley, Eddie Bergin and Paddy Delaney left us 3-8 to 0-6 ahead at the short whistle. When a line ball from Eoin Fitzpatrick somehow found its way to the net early in the second half the game was over as a contest Big Joe completed his hat-trick and added two points while further minors from Roche (3), Fitzpatrick, Delaney, Hanley and sub Rhys Loughnane completed the scoring. This years championship has ten teams split into two groups of five with the top four in each advancing to the quarter-finals.
