Congratulations to our U14’s who won the Feile C county final today in Templemore
After a hard fought game the lads showed tremendous spirit and determination to emerge at the final whistle with score line of 1-03 to 0-01 win over Borrisokane. Jk Brackens started the strongest and led at half time 1-01 to 0-00 thanks to a pointed free from Tom Bourke and a great piece of individual skill from Ciaran O Shea for the games only goal. The second half saw some real tough hurling with every Brackens player standing up to be counted as the backs fought back attack after attack from Borrisokane with Cian Sheedy and Eddie Corcoran as solid as rocks in defense while Josh Quinlan put in his usual work rate and covered every blade of grass in the park. Patrick Hickey and Michael Coffey added a point each before the final whistle. Patrick Crampton accepted the U 14 Feile C trophy from County chairman Martin Burke and County Secretary John Sheehy.
The lads are now through to the national competition with league games commencing on Friday evening 8th June with round three games quarter finals on Saturday 9th June with the semi finals and finals taking place on Sunday 10th June.
