Hard luck to our U-12 footballers who lost to neighbours Loughmore in the Mid U-12 C Final in Templetuohy this morning. Although the final score (3-5 to 0-3 ) might indicate an easy victory for the red and green it was anything but as the lads fought tooth and nail right to the end. An early Loughmore goal got them off to a flyer but two pointed frees from the boot of Jack Burke kept us in touch with the half-time score reading 1-1 to 0-2. The score-keeper had very little to do in the third quarter and the trophy was still up for grabs with ten minutes to go. Ultimately the fact that it was Loughmore's first team versus our second that was to be the difference as they finished like a train to claim the spoils. The lads can be very proud of their display with many of them underage again next year. Thanks also to the management for all your time and effort.
