Following on from their narrow derby defeat to Killea last weekend our Junior B hurlers produced a fine performance to see off Thurles Sarsfields in the Park this morning and get their campaign back on track. Sorely missed through injury last week Tommy Deegan made a welcome return and his three points from play were the difference at the break as we led 0-10 to 0-7. Brackens pushed on after the break with the Roche brothers, David Hickey and Michael Delahunty all adding to the scoreboard to give Brackens a 1-19 to 2-8 victory. In the other group game this weekend Killea defeated Knock to sit top of the table on four points. The group winners advance to the semi-finals while 2nd and 3rd go to the quarter-final pot. Our final group game is against Knock.
