Well done to our U-14 hurlers who both recorded victories in the Mid B Championship last night. How can they both be in the B competition one might ask. Well under a new system introduced this year there are eight teams in the competition - 3 in B1 and 5 in B2. All B1 teams are guaranteed a semi-final berth while the 5 B2 teams will play all the way to a final with the winners claiming the 4th semi-final spot. Last night our B1 team defeated Gortnahoe on a 7-6 to 1-4 scoreline while our B2 team beat Holycross by 4-11 to 2-5. Who will we shout for if their paths cross ??
