Well done to our Junior A hurling team who advanced to their group final where they will take on Upperchurch/Drombane for a place in the semi-final following last nights 3-18 to 2-15 victory over Boherlahan/Dualla. Brackens got off to a good start with an early Martin Bergin goal but Boherlahan were well up for the challenge and a string of points saw them go five up after twenty minutes. A Jack Kennedy goal got Brackens moving again before Martin Bergin took over hitting 2-1 before the break to leave us 3 up at the short whistle. That burst seemed to take the wind out of the Blue and Gold with Shane Doyle's switch to the forward line in the second half paying rich dividends as he hit four points from play to close out the game. The match against Upperchurch will be fixed at a Mid Board meeting tomorrow night.
