Well done to Paddy Cadell and Andrew Ormond who made a little bit of history last night as they both claimed Munster U-20 hurling medals - the first of their kind. Both Brackens boys made a huge contribution to a magnificent victory over an excellent Cork side and now go forward to face Wexford in the All-Ireland semi-final on the August Bank Holiday weekend. Cork will play Kilkenny in the other semi-final. From a provincial viewpoint it was sweet revenge for Paddy having lost a replay to Cork while minor captain in 2017 while losing heavily in last years U-21 decider. He now goes forward in search of his fourth All-Ireland medal while still only 19 years old. Well done to you. Last night was Andy's biggest outing since the Croke Cup final, and while he wouldn't have as much exposure at this level as Paddy didn't he do so well. He set the tone in the opening minute with a cracking point and backed it up with another crucial one in the second half while also involved in several other scores. For a relatively small man at this level he more than held his own and we wish him the best of luck as he goes forward in search of his second All-Ireland medal. Good luck to you both in the All-Ireland series.
