Stars of the week

Pride of place this week goes to Andrew Ormond and Paddy Cadell who, along with their Tipp team-mates, destroyed a highly fancied Cork team in seven scintillating minutes. Andy in particular was instrumental in the early exchanges, scoring a fine goal of his own while making two more, and adding two further first half points. As Cork rallied in the second half it was over to the backline to do their work where Paddy was very prominent in repelling the Cork attack. On another great day for Tipperary the people of Brackens are immensely proud of the two boys. It’s only a few short years since they appeared at Pairc Shileain swinging a caman so to see them performing so well at the highest level is very satisfying for the club. Let’s hope it continues to Senior ranks in the coming years. In the meantime we’re all looking forward to having ye back in the Brackens jersey. Well done boys.
