Well done to our Junior B hurlers who maintained their unbeaten run when defeating Thurles Gaels in the Park on Sunday morning. The Gaels got off to a good start hitting 1-2 early on but points from play from Paddy Delaney (2), Jason Phelan (2), James Moore (2) and Tommy Brett were added to by three frees from Moore before a 65 from Paul Guider left us one up at the break (0-11 to 1-7). Gaels struggled for scores in the second half managing only two from play along with two frees as Brackens took a hold on the game. Two apiece from Brian Roche and Nicky Madden along with a penalty goal from Paddy Delaney put the seal on a 1-16 to 1-11 victory. We now join Gortnahoe and Moyne in the semi-finals while the winner of the lone quarter-final between Thurles Gaels and Knock will complete the quartet.
