The ever popular Last Man Standing kicked off this weekend with 603 competitors going to post. The club would like to say a huge thanks to all the players involved in this fundraiser which has proven to be a huge success yet again. Unfortunately we have had 91 fallers at the first fence reducing the field to 512 for week 2. The troublemakers were Aston Villa whose home defeat to Southampton eliminated 30 and Everton's defeat on Tyneside which cost 38 more the chance of glory. Defeats for Manchester United and West Brom saw 14 more drop out while there was even two that thought the Hammers could win at Anfield - has only happened once since 1963. Gareth Bale's late strike for Spurs prevented a major cull with 227 competitors breathing a collective sigh of relief. And so it's on to Round 2 with the fixtures being sent to your phone tomorrow. Please reply by 8pm on Thursday. Best of luck everyone.
