The draws for the Senior and Intermediate football Mid championships were made at a Mid Board meeting in the Ragg last night. In the Senior competition Moyne/Templetuohy were drawn against Moycarkey/Borris in a quarter-final with Brackens taking on the winners in a semi-final. The other semi-final will see Upperchurch/Drombane take on Loughmore/Castleiney. There are just three teams in the Intermediate championship. Brackens were drawn to play Loughmore/Castleiney with the winner advancing to the final. The loser will face Drom/Inch with the winner of that tie progressing to the final. Unlike the hurling neither of these competitions have a link to the County championships so no dates have been comfirmed. In Junior A hurling we face Upperchurch/Drombane in a semi-final while in Junior B we face Moycarkey/Borris in a quarter-final. These matches will take place on the weekend of the 25th/26th October. Our Senior hurlers will also be in action that weekend against Loughmore/Castleiney so until the time/date of that fixture is confirmed no times/dates will be fixed for the Junior games. The Mid CCC meet again next Monday night when all will be finalised.
