Following our successful fundraiser on the fairways last weekend its back to the playing fields this weekend. Our Junior B hurlers will open their championship campaign away to Clonakenny on Friday 24th at 7.45pm. In preparation for this they played Holycross in a decent practice game last Friday and tonight they travel to Toor to take on the Sars at 7.45pm. Tomorrow (Sat) it's the turn of the big ball with our Junior B's first up in Drombane against Upperchurch at 5.30pm where a win should see them through to the knockout stage. From there it's on to Boherlahan for the Division One County Senior Football League final against Clonmel Commercials which has a 7.30pm throw-in. Brackens will be looking for their third success in this competition having won back-to-back titles in 2005 and 2006. Good luck to Jamie Ormond, Ray Doyle and the rest of the Tipperary squad as they travel to Limerick to take on Galway in the All-Ireland Minor hurling semi-final on Sunday. Throw-in at the Gaelic Grounds is at 2pm. Best of luck to all those representing Brackens and Tipp at the weekend and safe travelling to everyone.
