The second round of the Mid U17A Hurling Championship was played in Templemore on Monday 18th July against Holycross-Ballycahill
After a great first half Brackens went into the break a point to the good, 1 - 8 to 1 - 7. Sean Walsh had scored a very good team goal to take a 3 point lead halfway through the half. However, Holycross-Ballycahill scored a goal of their own before the break to leave the minimum between the teams.
Brackens had a few wides at the start of the second half. However, there was never more than 2 points between the teams in that second half. At the end it took a Dylan Quinlan point to level the game. It was a deserved draw against a very good Holycross-Ballycahill team. The final score was 1 -1 15 each.
The next game is on 25th July against Drom & Inch in the Ragg.
