U-15 A hurling
It was back to Morris Park again on Thursday night as our U-15 hurlers took on Holycross in the Mid Semi-final. Brackens started well with points from Kieran Martin, Jack Marnell and Padraic O’Shea. Holycross hit back with two points before Jack Marnell landed his second to leave Brackens 4-2 ahead. Holyross grabbed a goal and a point before points from Tommy Burke and Marnell levelled matters after 20 minutes. An excellent Brackens move saw O’Shea billow the net while Jack Burke added a point. Holycross finished the half stronger and led 2-6 to 1-7 at the break. They continued that dominance after the break and landed the opening four points to stretch six clear. A Jack Marnell free stopped the rot but the respite was only momentary as a third major effectively killed the game. Brackens battled hard to the finish but Holycross now had enough in hand to claim a 3-15 to 1-13 victory. Thanks to all players and management for their efforts throughout the year.
